The ISSDP is aware that the source of funds for research studies can have an actual or perceived impact on the research. ISSDP encourages high quality research on drug policy issues from across the globe. All research presented at ISSDP conferences and events will transparently declare the funding sources for the research.
The ISSDP is a not-for-profit charity and sponsorship of ISSDP events is encouraged. As a neutral forum for the exchange of ideas in relation to illicit drug policy, the ISSDP will not routinely accept sponsorship for conferences or events from for-profit organisations. This is to retain a neutral forum. Exceptions may be made at the discretion of the board but all for-profit sponsorship offers will be reviewed by two members of the Board.
